Memory Games

Students build note recognition as they race the clock to find matching cards.  This game come in Levels 1 and 2 for each of the following: Thump in the Night, Bass Clef Monster, Secret of Crater Island, Treble Clef Island, and Treble Clef and Bass Clef notes combined.

 

Thump in the Night Escape Room

Review the Thump in the Night story in a fun and different way. 

Level 1 – Notes are in order of the story.
Level 2 – Notes are mixed.

Bass Clef Escape Room

Review the bass clef note names with your students using this fun escape room.  Students choose the name of each note and are reinforced with images of the bass clef story.

Offered in 4 levels!

Level 1 – Notes in order of the storybook.
Level 2 – Two choices with notes in random order.
Level 3 – Three choices with notes in random order.
Level 4 – Four choices with letter name only.

Secret of Crater Island Escape Room

Review the six new treble clef note names with your students using this fun escape room.  Students choose the name of each note that are reinforced with images of the Crater Island story.  Level 1 (in order of the story) and Level 2 (not in order).

Matching Games

Match the letter name for each note to the image on the staff.  Level 1 and Level 2 for the following; Thump in the Night, Bass Clef Monster, and Secret of Crater Island.  And Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 in all Treble Clef Notes, and Treble Clef and Bass Clef notes together.

Drag and Drop Games

Help build a stronger understanding of where the notes are on the staff with these drag and drop games.  Students select the note name and drag to the correct place on the staff.  Then click “check” at the bottom of the page to see if they are correct.

Interactive Flashcards

Students identify the note shown on the flashcard by typing the letter on the keyboard.  Not only are they identifying note names, they are practicing letter recognition on the keyboard as well.

Level 1 – In order of the storybook.
Level 2 – Not in order of the storybook.

I Spy

After hearing each Freddie story, use this game to help students solidify which notes they just learned.  Students “spy” the cards from each book.

Offered for Thump in the Night, Secret of Crater Island, Bass Clef Monster and Treble Clef Staff Notes.

Level 1 – With pictures.
Level 2 – Notes only.
Level 3 – Notes only, no background hints.

Name the Instruments

Students identify instruments from the Invisible Coquí story.

Offered in two levels.

Level 1 – Freddie and Eli voices.
Level 2 – Instrument sample only.

Low to High|High to Low

This game will reinforce high and low through audio and visual elements.  Drag each card to put the cards in order from either low to high or high to low.  Students can hear the pitch by pushing the blue speaker button on each card.

Offered in two levels for Thump in the Night, Bass Clef Monster, and Secret of Crater island.

Level 1 – Low to High with images from storybooks
Level 2 – High to Low without storybook images.

Offered in three levels for Treble Clef Island and All the Notes (Bass Clef & Treble Clef)

Level 3 – High to Low without color clues.

Scat Singing

Get your classes scatting with Freddie and Eli!  Students can scat independently using these scat tracks.  With their own device and headphones on, students can explore scat words and vocalizations by Echo Scating (Level 1) and Call and Response (Level 2).

Note Name Sliders

Students can test their knowledge by looking at the card first without the letter name.  Then slide the green arrow across the screen to reveal the note with the letter name to see if they are right.

Interactive slider cards are available for all of Freddie’s note name storybooks.  Thump in the Night, Bass Clef Monster, Secret of Crater Island, Treble Clef Island, and Treble Clef & Bass Clef together.

Cards are provided in Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3

Level 1 – Notes in order.
Level 2 – Notes out of order but with color clues.
Level 3 – Notes out of order with no color clues.

Find the Rhythm

Students identify the rhythm they hear by clicking one of the two rhythms on the screen.  If incorrect, they will  be asked to try again.  

 

Drag & Drop Rhythms

Students write the rhythm they hear by dragging the note value provided on the left into the appropriate place in the measure.  They get immediate feedback by clicking the blue “Check” button at the bottom.  If the answer is incorrect students can retry until the correct answer is found.
